Tom Helgeson: Perfect cast in passing

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

To celebrate the life of Tom Helgeson, who died on Nov. 12, the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo site had one the classiest ways I have seen online to note it.

There's a single well-designed page with photos of Mr. Helgeson, 71, fishing and brief words on his passing and details for his memorial service in St. Paul Saturday.

It is simple, powerful and to the point.

Thirty or 40 years from now, I would like to be remembered like that.

Click here for the notice in MidCurrent, which includes a comment from Chicagoan Robert Tomes, author of Muskie on the Fly.

Click here for a compilation of obits and remembrances of Mr. Helgeson.
