That was quite the thing at the formal dedication of Palmisano Park in Bridgeport this morning.
Hundreds turned out. Mayor Daley and Chicago Park District superintendent Tim Mitchell gave it a good send off. Daley hung around for quite a time.
The celebration of Henry Palmisano went into the evening, and the stories flowed.
Palmisano Park, on the west side of Halsted between 27th and 29th, is the modern model for a good urban park.
