Cheryl Smith knows picture-perfect fish, perfect enough for Fish of the Week.

Her personal best walleye (8 pounds, 2 ounces) was caught on a crankbait from a southern Wisconsin lake on Oct. 30.
It was released. ``[A] walleye that size . . . must be released!,'' she said.
The St. Charles woman knows taking good fish pictures. Click here for the word on how she won the 2009 Berkley Big Fish Contest, with the prize of a fishing trip for two with legendary fisherman Hank Parker, for photos she posted on BerkleyBigFish.com.
Yes, it helps that she is photogenic. But she also holds the big fish properly and has it framed well. And it was a big, worthy fish.
FOTW tops the Midwest Fishing Report on the outdoors page of the Sun-Times each Wednesday. An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.
