Fish of the Week: Top-hat father & son salmon

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Ben Rosen caught this salmon while fly fishing in Kohler, Wis. earlier this month, and earns Fish of the Week honors.

It was one of four salmon the 10-year-old from Beverly caught on a ``yellow bushing thing,'' according to his father, Mitch Rosen, program director for sports talker WSCR (670-AM).

They were fishing with Gordy Martin of Tie 1 On Fly Fishing.

``It was a great father/son experience,'' Rosen said.

Yeah, if you are wondering, I do think Ben's hat puts it over the top as a FOTW nomination.

FOTW tops the Midwest Fishing Report on the outdoors page of the Sun-Times each Wednesday. An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.
