Wasp spider

Bink, thanks much. I beginning to think you are a renaissance man: spider expert, football player/coach, spoonplugger. Next I'll find out you're blowing the horn at the Green Mill on weekends.

It's tough to tell from that photo, but I think it's more likely one of these:

Female Banded Garden Spider

This website may help. I used it to identify a spider that my friends 5 year old son found in Lithia Springs on Lake Shelbyville yesterday.
