The Fighting Illini Bass Club won its fourth Big Ten Championship out of the last six on Oct. 3.

In today's column on the Sun-Times outdoors page (hopefully it posts online soon), I took a look at why Cody Sullivan, Kyle Ekstrom, Carlos Alfredo Sandoval, Justin Kaszuba, Matt Sells, Chet Michna, Jake Jagust, Uros Kuzmanovick, Marshall Lachecki and James Liu do so well as the competitive side of FIBC.

Part of the reason at the championship was the three above--Michna, Ekstrom, who caught the big bass, and Sells.
