Last weekend, Chris Waidner spotted this buck in Bartlett.

``[He was] helping himself to all my potted plants,'' Waidner said. ``He was quite beautiful.''

That sums up Buck of the Week: Unplugged, the weekly celebration of live big bucks around Chicago outdoors.

BOTW: Unplugged runs Sundays, when antlered bucks are around, on the outdoors page of the Sun-Times. An online version appears here, usually on Sunday during the season.

E-mail nominations for BOTW: Unplugged to outdoordb@sbcglobal.net.
