Statement from IDNR Director Marc Miller on the passing of former Director Joel Brunsvold

SPRINGFIELD - "It is with deep sadness that we learned this morning of the passing of former Director Joel Brunsvold. Joel served with distinction as director of the IDNR from 2003-2005 after a long and distinguished career in the Illinois General Assembly, including long-standing positions of Chairman of the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus and the House Agriculture and Conservation Committee. Following his service here at the IDNR, he continued to promote the causes of sportsmen and those who love the outdoors. Our prayers are with the Brunsvold family as they move through this.''
