Country Boys Outdoors: Miller's back

sportsmanchannelrs Some things are just priceless, such as reading Brad Miller described as ``NBA star'' in a PR release.

Miller is many things, including being a former Chicago Bull. But a star? I don't think so.

That aside, he is back in something that made him a bit of a star in my world. Miller returns on Country Boy Outdoors on Big Game Wednesdays on Sportsman Channel.

Here is the PR release:

NBA's Brad Miller Returns to Sportsman On Country Boys Outdoors

New Berlin, Wisconsin - Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, announced today the return of NBA star Brad Miller to Country Boys Outdoors for a brand-new season beginning this week. A true fan favorite, Country Boys Outdoors won "Best New Series" in the 2009 Sportsman Choice Awards, an awards program voted on by Sportsman Channel viewers. Country Boys Outdoors airs during Big Game Wednesdays at 7:30pm ET, with various re-airs, exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

Country Boys Outdoors pairs two long-time friends, producer Jon Brunson and Miller, as they travel the world for big-game hunting adventures taking the viewers along for a wild and entertaining ride. "This is a new concept show that has resonated well with our viewers - as they told us by honoring us with 'Best New Series' last year," said Producer and Co-host, Jon Brunson. "It has pushed us to take the show farther with hunts all over the world and putting Brad in insane situations. You'll just have to stay tuned to see."

"I absolutely love being part of Country Boys Outdoors; it's an escape from the hard courts of the NBA, allowing me to be immersed in nature with a good buddy just enjoying hunting in the great outdoors," said Miller. "I have the best jobs in the world, literally playing for a living-basketball and being a sportsman. I hope my excitement, enthusiasm and pure love of the outdoors resonates with the viewers."

"Clearly Jon and Brad have struck a chord with our viewers, judging from last season's Sportsman Choice Awards," said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel. "The viewers are in for another fantastic season of Country Boys Outdoors as the guys embark on world-class hunting adventures all over the world. The show is yet another example of our premiere programming, making Sportsman Channel the ultimate TV destination for the American sportsman."

The new season gets started with Brad and Jon heading to Big Buck Properties for some early-season whitetail bow hunting. Brad has success the first day, but then has to leave for his Big Brothers Big Sisters Charity event. When Brad returns, he has a friend with him who gets a chance to fill his tag on one of the largest bucks he has had the opportunity to see. The new season's action also includes a trip to New Zealand with Scott Thomson of Southern Hunting Safaris, where Brad gets a crack at a massive Red Stag plus all sorts of other critters. The boys go back to Florida this season looking for some monster Alligators with Terry Parlier of Wild Florida Outfitters, where Brad is singularly focused on facing off with his very own monster gator.
