Reader James Ross said he was going fishing when he noticed hundreds of dead fish on the east side and more fish belly up on the west side.

Everything is trying to get out of the water.

``The crawfish are up on the bank,'' he said. ``The snails are up on the bank.''

Other reports from readers indicated substantial numbers of bass, bluegill and crappie dead.

Among the fish stressed or killed were some monster bighead carp.
