Youth fishing: Donation offer

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

An octogenarian (80-something for younger fans) in the northwest suburbs has tackle and such to donate to a youth fishing program.

Here's the details from him:

I'm an octogenarian fan of your fishing articles, who's fishing has been reduced to light tackle on our small lake (Countryside).

I have an armful of rods, a box full of reels, several tackle boxes, line, and LOTS of lures, for other types of fishing, that are slowly going to waste.

Is there a worthwhile youth fishing program that could put all or any of it to good use?

Thanks for your contributions to the sport and any help you can provide.

If interested, drop me an e-mail at or post a comment below with other ideas.
