I had a first on Monday.

While fishing at Heidecke Lake with Capt. John Mannerino I caught a double.
Now, I've caught my share of doubles on crankbaits over the years. But this was a double on a single Slow Death hook. Both a small walleye and a small drum were hooked, and I managed to land both.
Just one of those fun things that enlivened the day.

We targetted walleye and caught nearly 20 in four hours, but the best fishi of the day was the hybrid Mannerino is holding.
I enjoy fishing with him. The former tournament fisherman seems to have the right idea about going about things. Click here for the site of the Northwest Side guy.

It was a first for me also Dale. You have a seat in my boat ANYTIME.
