Blagojevich trial: Kurt Granberg

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

It stunk when Rod Blagojevich, just days before the the disgraced former Illinois governor was tossed from office, appointed Kurt Granberg to head the IDNR.

It stunk even worse than we thought.

Apparently, Blagojevich thought he could pick up the leftover money in Granberg's campaign fund, though it didn't happen.

Click here for the Sun-Times trial blog and go down to the entry on Granberg.

To his credit, Gov. Pat Quinn, in one of his first official moves, pushed Granberg out and appointed a wildlife professional in Marc Miller

That stinks worse than that dead skunk out on Rte 102 but doesn't shock me. If he was willing to sell a US Senatorship, the head of a state agency seems to fit the way he operated.
