Wild Saturday: Park deer thoughts

Do park deer count as wild animals?

I caught this one by the side of the road as I was leaving Eldon Hazlet SRA this morning.

It sure didn't spook like a wild deer, letting me fumble around and grab my camera

I have often wondered if the contact that urban and suburban people have with park deer distorts their view of deer and their behavior. And by extension deer hunters.

Trust me, as somebody who has spent 40 years hunting deer, they don't act like that in the wild very often.
