IHSA bass fishing: Top 10 wrap

Here's a wrap on the other top 10 teams for the IHSA bass fishing championship from the Chicago area, beginning with No. 2 Wheaton-Warrenville South.

The Tigers were making their second straight appearance, but finished 36th.

No. 3 Bradley-Bourbonnais was making its second straight appearance too, and it paid off.

The Boilermakers finished in ninth, both days.

And sophomore Jack Waldschmidt took big fish honors for the tournament with a 5-13 on Day 1.

No. 4 Minooka scuffled in its first appearance. It qualified both teams and finished 40th and 42nd.

No. 5 Fenwick had a solid steady showing.

Will Lawler's 3-12 on Day 2 helped the Friars to a solid 12th.

No. 6 Hinsdale Central was 34th. No. 7 Streamwood was 31st.

No. 8 Lakes caught keepers on its first trip Downstate.

And the Eagles finished 43rd.

No. 9 De La Salle was 51st and No. 10 Sandburg was 46th.
