The second year is underway for sectionals in Illinois' statewide bass fishing tournament.

The boats were lined up early and awaiting the takeoff at Wolf Lake.
Day looks promising.
And in a brief tour of the lake, I heard of at least two keepers being caught in the first hour.

De La Salle was put on the board with this 12 1/2-incher landed by senior Brian Markham on a pumpkinseed lizard.
A better one had already been landed by Oak Lawn.
Weather looks like it will hold. Should be an interesting day.
More to come later from the sectionals around Chicago outdoors and from Downstate.

Saw them at Tampier this morning. At first i saw a bassboat with its outboard running! then realized it was ISHA... I honked as I drove by! Good luck today. Both of my kids want to join when they are in Highschool!
