IHSA bass fishing: Good luck charm?

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Some days, life is charmed. Just ask Brian Markham.

The senior caught three fish, including the two quality keepers above, to lead De La Salle to the sectional title in IHSA bass fishing at Wolf Lake Friday.

If you're wondering, he said they were caught on ``chartreuse and pumpkinseed lizards.''

I feel charmed too.

Some days, luck is with you.

I was taking a tour of the lake after takeoff, and Markham had just caught his first fish in the opening hour.

That one, as you can see, was barely a keeper, but was enough to make him happy.
