Jeff ``Woody'' Roberts called before 5 tonight and said more than a dozen boats were already lined up for opening morning at LaSalle Lake.

In a few hours, I will be parked in line. Hopefully, I will get a few hours of sleep before the scene from last year above repeats itself, then be ready to join Woody at the launch. it will still be dark at 6 a.m., but I can't wait.
Biologist Ken Clodfelter sounded hopeful about the state of largemouth, smallmouth and hybrids, and especially chipper about how big the blues are getting. He expects quite a few bigger than 50 pounds by now.
In March, the lake is open Wednesday through Sunday. Hours are 6 a.m. to sunset.
