Dan Basore keeps busy during show season around Chicago outdoors, but even he is starting to wind down as we hit week 10 for showtime, albeit a big week.

Basore, the west suburban historian/colelctor (that's him in the background at America's Outdoor Show past his poster of `The Fridge'' hawking Ugly Sticks), said ``for the last time we will have on display `The Old Tackle Shop' '' at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show.
For those who had a chance to see that display when it was at the Lake County Discovery Museum, it was something.else. I highly recommend seeing it if old style bait/tackle shops stir your memories.
I would tend to the show the biggest outdoors show near Chicago. It is at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis through Sunday.

I do think that the voices of a lot of the people who would be impacted by such a decision were not heard, while the voices of groups that have a track record of opposing thses kind of activities were given a loud voice.
