Here's the first of a couple wild animal stories from around Chicago outdoors. We start with this from Rick Towner of a red fox walking down the street in Chicago Ridge.

Here's the word from Towner:
I took this picture of a beautiful red fox this morning (Saturday) here in Chicago Ridge. He seemed not to care that I was taking his picture and even stopped to pose. I can only guess he must have strayed in from the Palos forest preserves. I have the Metra Southwest Service tracks behind my house, so maybe that was his route to my house.
Maybe I have to think about WAOTW.

I grew up in Chicago Ridge and b4 the golf course there was a prarie of some kind there. I remember seeing one fox every since I was a kid.

If you play at that golf course at twlight you are sure to see him on hole #7 and #15 right next to the creek. :)
