Through Monday, Illinois bowhunters reported 62,801 deer, compared to last year's total of 63,620 at the same time, according to Paul Shelton, forest wildlife program manager.
The deer season for bowhunters in Illinois runs through Sunday, Jan. 17.
Here's the update from Shelton:
Preliminary archery deer harvest through Monday, January 11 stands at 62801, compared to last year's total of 63620 at the same time. Top five counties are Pike (3472), Fulton (1766), Jefferson (1471), Adams (1379), and Peoria (1274). Current sex ratios in the harvest are 50.3% female to 49.7% male.

And what happened to that plan to take all the deer and fowls from the hunt and store them for the families in need to fight hunger?
I skipped last season because of a broken leg. I am so eager to go now!
I tried to join a local hunter team but I am no good for that hobby. I can't kill deer.
