Fish of the Week: Willow Slough pike

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well, I asked for ice-fishing nominations for Fish of the Week. And leading a number of them was this 36 1/2-inch, 13-pound northern pike, caught by Bruce Singleton from Willow Slough just across the state line in Indiana on Jan. 16.

Here's the details from the Crete man:

I caught a 13lb 36 1/2in Northern Pike at Willow Slough in IN on January 16, 2010, ice fishing with my son Kyle & family friend Tino Grivetti. I used a Golden Roach on a tip up. Thanks so much for your time.

My time is well spent looking at a pike like that.

FOTW tops the Midwest Fishing Report on the outdours page of the Sun-Times each Wednesday. An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.
