Fish of the Week: Icy Webster muskie

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

Some fish, say one worthy of Fish of the Week, are worth busting a mile of ice to reach. Mike Davis did that.

FOTW tops the Midwest Fishing Report in the outdoors page of the Sun-Times each Wednesday. An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.

Here's the Lake Villa man's take on his 47-inch muskie.

Didn't get home till Wednesday, here's a picture of a 47" musky I caught Dec 6th @3pm on a sucker. I was fishing in 42ft of water at Webster Lake, IN. We had to break through 1" of ice for a mile to get to the lake. Water temp was 37.4 F. We landed 15 musky in the last 3 weekends.

That's some fishing. And this is some fish.

Wow---you must have had some guide to be catching giant muskies----and lots of them! Love the Princecraft boat too---very sharp! Mr. Davis should definitely tip his photographer also---look how well he "filled the frame" on that giant Indiana lunker. Great fish from an incredible fishery----Pat Elza
