Buck of the Week: Life best, ``to date''

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK, I envy Joe Sierocki. The Chicago man was deer hunting about 10 or so miles east of me and bagged this buck, an 11-point buck from the Hopkins Park area of Kankakee county on Nov. 21.

BOTW leads the Illinois Hunting Report on Wednesdays through the season, or as long as seems apt, in Sun-Times on Wednesdays. An extended online version appears here, usually by midnight Tuesday.

Here's the story of his BOTW:

Here is a picture of the deer I shot on Saturday November 21st. 2009. It's an 11 point Hopkins Park Kankakee county buck! My biggest deer to date. I shot him at 6:35am at 80 yards.

Two things I love there. One is the ``to date.'' The other is shooting it at 80 yards.
