The Ludington Daily News is reporting a possible world record brown trout (41 pounds, 7.25 ounces) was caught by Tom Healy Wednesday morning in the Manistee River. Click here.

I am trying to track down more. (ADD: Just talked to Capt. Tim Roller, who guided Healy, and it sounds completely legit and that Healy will follow through on filing the necessary paperwork)
The standing world record for browns (40-4) was caught by Howard Collins from the Little Red River in Arkansas on May 9, 1992, according to International Game Fish Association records.

Wow.....whatta feesh!
