Wild Friday: Turkeys at Heidecke

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

At this point, seeing wild turkeys are not much of a surprise around Illinois. OK, if they show up on Northerly Island it might be a surprise.

Jim Giglio spotted this family of 12 wild turkeys walking the shore along the north bank of Heidecke Lake on Thursday morning.

I wish I could add some fish photos, but the only one is of a very small muskie. So the wild turkeys were extra nice for adding something to a morning of catching up.
