Wild Sunday: Road-killed beaver

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Len Genis had a good question: ``How often do you see road-killed beaver?''

deadbeaver

It made me think. As much as I travel the area, i rarely see roadkill beavers. Just as I see a lot more live coyotes trotting by major roadways than I do roadkill coyotes.

Here's Genis's question:

took pic of dead beaver at milemarker 346 on southbound I57.will try to send it to you.thoughtyou might be intersted.how often does this occur?

That area holding beaver in the south suburbs doesn't surprise me. Trying to cross or meander on I-57 does.

If you have thoughts, post below or e-mail me at outdoordb@sbcglobal.net.
