Celebrity Shots: McAndrews catting around

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I've had this idea kicking around for awhile, doing something called Celebrity Shots. Chicago-area or maybe Illinois celebrities with fish or game. I was reminded of it early last month when Ramblin' Ray sent the photo of his Vilas County buck, posted here.

mcAndrews

Then McHenry rocker Rob McAndrews of Pist sent this wonderful shot of a catfish caught through the ice on the Chain O'Lakes.

It seems like the perfect time to start Celebrity Shots. Details of McAndrews catch follow.

Last Wednesday, I mentioned McAndrews in connection with his fishing partner T.J. Foss, who caught the big fish during the NAIFC tournament on the Chain on Feb. 22. And i found out that Pist's ``Cold Reality'' opens the NAIFC TV show, ``Ice Men.'' That's what brought the note from McAndrews.

``Here is a picture of the 30 inch Cat I caught on Wednesday night (2 nights ago )on upper Chain o lakes Through the Ice on 3 POUND TEST using a pink and gold Rat Finke , What a Rush !!!Took 10 MInutes ... 10 pounds Plus ...''

The catfish through the ice on the Chain intrigues me enough that asked a couple questions and he sent this back.

``That pig devoured it hard !!! We had 3 others attack them after that one and they all showed up on the sonar 4 ft. off the bottom and just inhaled the jigs ...''

If you have suggestions or nominations for Celebrity Shots, drop a note to outdoordb@sbcglobal.net.
