She's keeping on a family tradition.

Kathyrn Maher, 12, ended up with a monster coho (12 pounds, 7 ounces) on an outing with her grandfather Capt. Bob White last week.
It was big enough to earn Fish of the Week honors. FOTW tops the Midwest Fishing Report each Wednesday.
White had returned to his old boat, the Kingfisherman, now captained by Jamie Kost out of Diversey harbor, for an outing with two granddaughters last week.
The big coho was obviously the big catch.
It's big enough to lead the Richard J. Daley Memorial Fishing Tournament for July. The derby in July allows these species: carp, catfish, coho, chinook and steelhead. Register fish at Henry's, Park Bait or Vet's.
White's outing was a family affair. That's Bob on the right.
