Considering human nature, it was only time before the deer-rich Golden Triangle drew inventive crooks.

A deer hunter forwarded newspaper and television accounts of poaching by Allen Blevins. The Tennessee man guided at Hadley Creek Outfitters in Pike County, one of the counties in the fabled big-buck land between the Illinois River and the Mississippi rivers in western Illinois.

I find this stuff depressing, not that I need more excuses for depression in a winter that's been too long.
