Boat fishing at Powerton Lake will not open as scheduled Feb. 15, and will remain ``closed indefinitely,'' site super Stan Weimer said Thursday afternoon.
Bank fishing will continue, though the warm-water discharge remains off-limits while repairs continue at the discharge.
Too bad, in a winter like this, the reopening of boat fishing at the cooling lake near Pekin was the first sign of spring for many of us.
