Like a sibling: Madonna's brother to tell all

Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone is writing a memoir about his famous sister — titled Life With My Sister Madonna — and it's coming out next month, Simon & Schuster told the Associated Press.

Simon Spotlight Entertainment, an S&S imprint, had been promoting a mysterious "celebrity memoir" without identifying the author or subject. No details on how much little brother will make on the reported tell-all. The book will have a first printing of 350,000.

The 47-year-old Ciccone has worked with Madonna before, most notably as artistic director on her 1991 documentary, "Madonna: Truth or Dare," but the two are not close these days, according to Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg, who told the AP: ‘‘Madonna has not cooperated with any biography about herself.’’

I was just listening to Madge's newest CD, "Hard Candy," as well as the classic "The Immaculate Collection" so I am most definitely still a fan. Sometimes these tell-alls can be just someone airing a beef, and the fact that Madonna her brother Christopher are no longer close is probably going to be the selling point for this tome.

Still, I have a feeling I'll be leafing through this one at Borders or Barnes & Noble when it comes out. After all, there's certainly a number of stories to tell when it comes to Madonna. The fact that the last time Christopher worked with her was on the "Truth or Dare" documentary makes me wonder. She has indeed changed quite a bit since those days. Then again, that's part of what still keeps me a fan of Madonna. She continues to be a chameleon when it comes to the music industry.

Seems odd that a book is being published without word from the subject or the horse's mouth, but it's a guaranteed sell due to who it is connected to, and not neccessarily due to who wrote it. Either way, it's an attempt to obtain a paycheck, and it just might work :-) Hopefully it is sibling-friendly.

Christopher is evil and is known to be a bitter queen.
That said, cannot wait for the book.

In response to Jessi - Chris worked with Madonna on her 1993 Girlie Show world tour and they were close at least until 2000 as far as I'm aware.

Sad though. I would expect something like this from Martin, but not him. Sad.

I would not buy the book. who cares about ugly old madonna anymore. she is not cool anymore.
