The Blackhawks signed forward Daniel Carcillo to a two-year contract, the team announced Monday morning. It's worth a reported $825,000 per season.

PHILADELPHIA -- Regardless if he's hurt or not, Daniel Carcillo's seven-game suspension apparently starts Thursday night in Philadelphia.


The Blackhawks still aren't saying much regarding the injury status of tough guy Daniel Carcillo. But it's feared that Carcillo sustained significant damage to his left knee.

The NHL suspended Daniel Carcillo indefinitely pending a hearing with the league for his hit on Oilers defenseman Tom Gilbert in Monday's loss at the United Center.

As far as Carcillo's own injury status, coach Joel Quenneville didn't know too much about Carcillo's left knee injury Tueday after practice, but he did relay some discouraging news about rookie center Marcus Kruger.

Goalie Corey Crawford will start consecutive games for the first time in three weeks when he faces the Columbus Blue Jackets at the United Center.

Tough guy Daniel Carcillo is banged up. He sat out practice Thursday and the Blackhawks' morning skate Friday and will miss Friday night's matchup against Anaheim Ducks.

The Hawks aren't saying much about his injury.
