Dave Bolland out again for the Blackhawks

Dave Bolland's foot injury -- while not considered serious by the Hawks -- is going to take a few more days to recover before he can play again.

Bolland won't be in the Hawks' lineup Sunday night against the Edmonton Oilers. It will be the third game in a row he has missed since injuring his foot when he blocked a shot Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

The pesky center has been wearing a walking boot to protect his foot. Coach Joel Quenneville, though, said Bolland will travel with the team during their annual circus trip.

"He's going to be on the trip," Quenneville said. "Hopefully, he gets to play one of the first two games."

On Friday, Quenneville described Bolland's injury as "not long term." Marcus Kruger will remain on the third line for the time being with Bolland out.

"You don't want to lose anybody, but I think Kruger has done a real nice job in his absence," Quenneville said. "He's filled that need and that role in all situations that Bolland has and done a good job."
