Blackhawks' Brent Seabrook may play in Game 6

Everything looked and sounded encouraging for Brent Seabrook .

The physical defenseman took the ice for the first time Saturday after missing the last two games of the Hawks' first-round series against the Vancouver Canucks with a concussion. And then afterward, Seabrook declared he's symptom-free.

"I felt excited out there [Saturday]," Seabrook said. "Getting on the ice with the guys, having a lot of fun out there and laughing with the guys, just overall excited."

The shoulder-to-head hit Seabrook endured from Canucks troublemaker Raffi Torres in Game 3 has garnered plenty of headlines.

The hit didn't knock Seabrook out of the game, but two days later he said he woke up with "just some symptoms and what not."

Seabrook said he "just wasn't ready to go" for Game 4 and then proceeded to sit out Game 5 in Vancouver after failing to pass league protocol. He'll try to pass the same tests Sunday before Game 6, but said he's been symptom-free since Friday.

"It was really frustrating," Seabrook said. "Obviously, I want to be out there with the guys. I was talking with them and asking for another chance to get in the lineup. They've done an unbelievable job. They've played two great games. Hopefully, [Sunday] is a better day for me and I can get back in there and help the guys out."
