After toughing out a lower-body injury Sunday against the Flyers, Hawks captain Jonathan Toews sat out practice Monday at Johnny's Ice House West.
But like Toews said after Sunday's loss, it's not serious. He will play Tuesday against the Wild at the United Center, the Hawks' last game before the All-Star break.
"He'll be fine," coach Joel Quenneville said after Monday's practice. "He's going to play."
''I look it at two ways -- either you're good enough to go, or you're not,'' Toews said of his choice to play Sunday. ''I felt I was fine. Everyone along the season and in the playoffs, you play with something here and there.''
It's unlikely Toews will sit out the All-Star Game Sunday in Raleigh, N.C. Other players such as Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby (concussion) will sit out the game.
"I don't think that's on the radar," Quenneville said. "He'll be ready to play [Tuesday] and he should be fine. I don't think that's part of the discussion."
