Jeremy Morin's highly anticipated call-up lasted only two games. The Blackhawks sent their top prospect back to the Rockford IceHogs Monday.
The 19-year-old winger played nine minutes, three seconds Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers, recording only one shot. His NHL debut Saturday in Atlanta will be remembered for his willingness to block a shot that ended his first game prematurely.
''It was nice he showed he could play both sides of the puck," coach Joel Quenneville said. "At that time of the game, it was a big block. It showed he's willing to do anything to keep the puck out of the net.''
Morin's assignment doesn't mean Dave Bolland (rib) is set to return from injured reserve. Bolland is expected to return this week, but Bryan Bickell was also a healthy scratch Sunday.

Q??????? What are you doing???? Morin is a gifted scorer with toughness in the corners. All this hodge-podge line juggling is killing chemistry. Morin and Ben Smith both need to be up here playing. If these guys cant shake out of the coma, then sit them and let the young play 5-6 games. I just dont get this.. Let the lines settle down for a bit and see what happens.
