Hendry in at 'D' with Byfuglien back up front

Hawks defenseman Jordan Hendry told reporters Saturday morning that he will be in the lineup in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Vancouver Canucks.

Hendry played the first three games of the first-round series against the Nashville Predators. But he was replaced by Brian Campbell, when he returned from a fractured collarbone and rib.

Coach Joel Quenneville moved Dustin Byfuglien from defense to wing earlier in the week. Byfuglien was a thorn in goalie Roberto Luongo's side last year in the conference semifinals and Quenneville is hoping for similar results.

Hendry will fill the sixth defenseman spot and Adam Burish, who played in three wins for the Hawks against Nashville, is expected to be a scratch in Game 1. Hendry had a minus-3 rating in the Predators series.

Nick Boynton, Ben Eager and Colin Fraser are also expected to be scratches. Quenneville said Kim Johnsson is not an option right now.
