Here is my "expert" opinion on how the Western Conference standings will play out for the playoffs:
1. San Jose
2. Hawks
3. Vancouver
4. Phoenix
5. Detroit
6. Nashville
7. LA
8. Colorado
It's basically the same as they currently stand. Calgary fails to get in, while Detroit leaps past Nashville. The Red Wings have played two less games than the Predators and only trail them by a point.
Detroit is the last team anyone would want to face in the first round.
