Here are some news and notes from the Blackhawks' morning skate on Tuesday before the NY Islanders game:
Who is in?
Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said Brent Sopel, John Madden and Ben Eager, all of whom entered the Olympics break with injuries, are expected to play Tuesday night against the New York Islanders.
Who is out?
Quenneville didn't announce his scratches, but Colin Fraser and Jordan Hendry were the last two players to leave the ice, which is usually a good indicator of who will sit.
Are the Olympians ready?
All of them skated in the morning, and said afterward that they were excited to be back with their teammates.
"They look good. There was a lot of energy out there this morning," Quenneville said. "They looked good before going on the ice and looked good on the ice. Hopefully, we can get some energy from both groups rejoining together."
Duncan Keith was asked if he had his gold medal on him.
"It's a secret," he replied.
