The Bears requested and were granted permission to speak to Houston Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, ESPN reported this morning.

Dennison has been a key for the Texans power running game, and he was a finalist for the Denver Broncos head coaching job that went to John Fox.

Dennison worked with Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall in Denver.

The Bears are scheduled to visit with current Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy today in Denver.

On Monday, the Bears will interview Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman on Monday, ESPN reported.

One concern about Dennison is that Texans head coach Gary Kubiak calls offensive plays.
