It was nothing but pretty positive news for the Bears on the injury front as rookie tight end Evan Rodriguez was only the player not to participate in practice on Friday.
"Evan Rodriguez will not play this week," coach Lovie Smith said. "We have everybody else available to play. Everybody else practiced in some form I'd say today.
"We're excited about playing the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's kind of simple as that. We made progress last Monday night. That seemed like forever, hopefully we can take another step and start off this second quarter (of the season) on the right foot."
Officially, running back Matt Forte (ankle) and defensive end Julius Peppers (ankle) are probable for the Bears, while wide receiver Earl Bennett (hand) is questionable.
How does Bennett's hand feel?
"It went good," Bennett said after practice Friday. "I was feeling a lot better. We'll see what happens this weekend."
Bennett said he thinks he can play against the Jaguars on Sunday.
"Yeah, it's feeling a lot better. I'm able to catch the ball a lot better," he said. "I'm just looking forward to this weekend to see what happens."
Wide receiver Laurent Robinson (concussion) and linebacker Daryl Smith (groin) are out for the Jaguars.
