So far, so good for first-round draft pick

We'll find out more about first-round pick Shea McClellin when training camp starts, but defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli likes what he's seen so far.

"He's got really good movement," Marinelli said. "He's got really good speed. He's got nice range. His size is fine. He's a real hungry guy and he's very smart. I know he's tough. Now we'll get the pads on him. That determines everything but I believe he'll come out and do a very nice job. But the movement, all the things you look for, it's there."

I was never a big fan of the Shea McClellin draft pick, but, if a guy like Rod Marinelli, who knows a little bit about defensive linemen, likes what he sees so far, maybe this kid will be alright? The scouting report on McCellin says he has high football intelligence and is a high motor player, we know Marinelli likes that. McClellin plays at a very low pad level and has quick hands and feet as a pass rusher. Its gonna be interesting to see this kid in pads GO BEARS!!
