Bears running back Matt Forte has been ruled out for the game, after suffering a knee injury in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Forte was drilled in the right knee by Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson on a run for no gain. After being tended to on the field for several minutes, Forte walked off the field, under his own power, with a slight limp. Forte was then evaluated on a training table on the sideline by medical officials. Minutes later, it was announced that Forte was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Forte had five carries for 12 yards.
