DeAngelo Hall: "Jay is definitely a clown"

DeAngelo Hall, the Washington Redskins cornerback who loves to talk, dissed Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in a recent interview on 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C.

It appears the interviewer first called Cutler "a clown." But Hall didn't defend him.

"Jay is definitely a clown," Hall told the radio station, per Sports Radio Interviews. "I played against the kid one other time, and it was when I first went to Oakland, first game of the season we played on a Monday night.

"And [Mike] Shanahan was actually coaching. He's played against Al Davis so long, he knows what we're going to be in -- man under, it ain't no help, just go out and play football no matter what they come out in. You can tell Shanahan was scheming us up -- max protection, double/triple move. And Eddie Royal had caught a couple balls against me that game. And I tell you what, I don't know if Jay was like 'I'm going to keep going at him, I don't care what's going on.'

And the first half, I didn't have an interception, a pass breakup or nothing, and then to come out in the second half against those guys and get four interceptions. Man, I've never had more than two in a game, so to go out and get four in a half, I was like 'man, this is unreal!' I'm on the sideline like 'wow, this is pretty amazing!'"

Hall was all class in the inteview. He poked fun at the size of Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd's son's head.

"He's 12 years old and he's 5'10″- the dude is taller than me -- but the head is still there," Hall said.

I know Hall is not the brightest guy in the world, but let me get this right.

When he played against Cutler in 08 and Cutler lit him up and I mean lit him up it was all because of Shanny. Last I checked Shanahan was not calling the offense in 08. Plus he says Royal had a couple of catches against him. Try 9 for 146 yards and TD. Jackson also nailed Hall for a 48 yard TD reception.

He can't figure out why Cutler was throwing at him. Well probably because he was lighting him up and second because the guy playing across from hall is named Asomugha. Now call me crazy but if Denver was so great at being scheme aware against the Raiders and could rip them apart anytime they wanted, how come this Asomugha guy never got ripped apart. Just a thought, in fact I am pretty sure nobody likes throwing at him. So basically if you can cover, most teams will stay away from you. I don't know to many teams that shy away from Hall.

Hall will get you some picks but that is usually because most teams are not affraid to challenge him. But he gives up a lot of scores.

Maybe I missed something but last I checked the Skins were rated in the bottom of the league in pass protection 31st, way to go Hall you shut down corner you. The team only gave up 23 passing TD's that's a secondary you can be proud of.

Well at least he is insulting kids as well, don't want to leave anyone out.

What Hall doesn't want to say is he can't play man coverage. You also have to wonder why a guy like him was traded from the Falcons, cut from the Raiders, and the team that signed him is owned by a football tard. What Hall has is speed and thats about it. Hall is just the secondary version of Chad Johnson, he needs constant attention but is a bit of an idiot. I believe he is one of Johnsons sidekicks.

Pot, meet kettle. It takes a clown to know one....
