Urlacher defends Cutler

While fans may be questioning Jay Cutler's toughness after he took himself out of Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Packers in the NFC Championship game, Brian Urlacher said there were no such concerns in the Bears' locker room.

Cutler injured his knee late in the first half. He tried to play the first series of the second half before leaving the game. Todd Collins and later Caleb Hanie replaced him.

"Jay was hurt," he said. "I don't question his toughness. He's tough as hell. He's one of the toughest players on our football team. He doesn't bitch, he doesn't complain when he gets hit. He goes out there and plays his ass off every Sunday. He practices every single day, so no, we don't question his toughness."

Sure you don't.

The guy may be a terrifically talented athlete, but as a Chicago resident who has seen him at his best and worst, I think he may simply have some mental growing-up to do. He throws an interception and then pouts and sits alone on the sideline for the remainder of the quarter, whereas other franchise quarterbacks hit the bench and hit the books with their offensive coordinator. Once the funk hits, it takes a great defensive stop or unexpected turnover to get his head back into the game.

Hurt knee or no hurt knee, Jay Cutler and all Chicago fans would be helped if he could spend some time maturing in the offseason.

Are you kidding Urlacher? You're such a tough guy right, why don't we ask Bass Rutten just how tough you are? Pansy

Cutler gave up, you don't have to be a pro athlete to know if he hurt his knee that bad he wouldn't be pacing the effing sidelines because he wouldn't be able to stand on the damn thing. Oh yeah, and other pro athletes agree too, check out the outcry.

Packers came to win and did.

I see the idiots are out in Force. 4:17 mark first half, Cutler throws to Olsen and takes hit from Raji to the outside of his knee at 4:06 he is seen limping in the end zone. On the next series Cutler can no longer plant on his foot and throws a pick to knox. Aikmen points out something looks wrong with Cutler. Cutler is seen leaving the game early before the half. Begining of the second half Cutler has his knee taped up tries to play and gets pulled by medical staff. He is going for an MRI and it is probably an MCL tear. And yes you can walk with a knee injury at least limp, clearly you have never played any sport or ever been injured.

norain89 dude you are a pansy fruit. First off anyone who starts saying other gusy are not tough and then says yeah well talk to this guy is a pansy.

Why don't you talk to Brian tough guy who needs to hide behind people he doesn't know and the internet. Let me guess you would show Brian or anyone else cause you are a super tough MMA fighter right? Please you don't even know who Bas Rutten is, if you did you probably would have spelled his name right, he is not a fish BASS???? Second he is nothing special in the MMA world. Dude has not fought in years. None of that changes the fact that you are a chicken #### who would actually say oh yeah tell that to this guy. Why don;t you tell Brian yourself tough guy, when your not to busy hiding behind the net. What next are you going to get the Hulk to beat up Peppers.

I bet your some fat chump hiding in his basement watching action Movies and to much UFC. Let me tell you loser watching it don't mean you can do it. And spare me your retard retort of how your 6-6 250 and how White is scouting you for the Ultimate Fighter.

We need Dan LeFevour back.

Your a scumbag, Cutler is the toughest qb in football and has showed it all year. the bears already are the NFC favorites for next year. Scumbag packers fan following bears blows. keep up the good work idiot

Creighton: well said.

Cutler have been doing great as an QB mind you he had an off day but hell the man was injured. He's ran the ball into the end zone several games leaving him vulnerable for injuries and knowing he may get injured but still ran the damn ball....he's a tough dude and not a quitter!! All the other NFL players taunting him are mostly bench warmers so their words are null and void!! Now do me a favor cunt muscle and GO FIND THE NEAREST BRIDGE AND MAKE A SPLASH JACKOFF!! Better yet finish reading Creighton comment and wipe your tears because he just made you look like a fairy boy HAHAHAHA!!!
