Bears re-sign Peterman

| 2 Comments | No TrackBacks

The Bears signed receiver Eric Peterman to the practice squad.

Peterman was with the Bears during the offseason and preseason before being waived following an injury on Aug. 23. The former Northwestern standout joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He will take the practice squad spot created when the Vikings signed receiver Juaquin Iglesias to their 53-man roster.

Hooray! The superbowl is only a mater of time. I knopw it in my heart.

Thats to bad the Bears let Juaquin Iglesias get away. I thought he showed pretty good promise last summer, and Iglesias is exactly the bigger type of receiver the Bears need to complement their smaller speedy types that they have right now. Chicago needs a big receiver that can go down field and fight for the ball, that became apparent sunday night vs Green Bay. But, you also can't take anything away from Green Bay's corners who are among the leagues elite.

I was hoping Devin Aromashodu would be that receiver, he wasn't. Aromashodu, as far as a player, was probably the biggest disappointment for Chicago this season. You have to wonder, looking back, maybe Chicago should have given Iglesias a longer look? Oh well, the Bears are going for the grand prize right now so GO BEARS!!
