Devin Hester exercising patience

| 3 Comments | No TrackBacks

Devin Hester needs just one more kick return touchdown to own the all-time record by himself.

Currently, Hester shares the mark with Brian Mitchell.

But Hester said he isn't too anxious.

"At the end of the day, I have to have patience, and the fans have to have patience. I just realize that, I'm starting to appreciate it more than if I would have broke it earlier this year," he said. "I don't think I would have appreciated it as much.

"But now that I see that it's a big thing, and I'm really looking forward to breaking this record. And now if I break it, I think it would mean more to me. I don't know if this is something God placed in my life, to have patience, and you're not ready to receive this right now. But in a game like this, running a punt back in a game situation like this - winning a game or something like that - would really mean a lot to me. So, be patient with everything and let it happen."

Hester was close to popping a punt return for a touchdown against the Detroit Lions, but he was tripped up by the punter, Nick Harris.

The only difference between Devin Hester and Brian Mitchell is it took Mitchell over 10 seasons to get the record, Hester did it in 5. Theres no getting around it, Hester is simply the greatest returnman the league has ever seen. Before its said and done, Hester should have around 20 by the time he hangs up the cleats. Hester could end up being the first player to go into the NFL Hall of Fame as a special teams player. Hester, along with Lance Briggs are probably the best draft picks Jerry Angelo ever made as a GM GO BEARS!!

No wait a seconf the HOF is not good enough for Hester. I thibk the League needs to create a whole nother HOF for the bestest player ever like my boy Garet Wolf (total beast) Dusty D and of course the Bruiser Ceaig STeltz. The should alosmake send Jerry A to the Hall for his super duper job as GM and super aswome drafting skills. He is just the gratest-

EEK!!! A MOUSE JUST RAN UNDER MY COMPUTER DESK!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

CREIGHTON YOU ARE SO BIG AND STRONG AND BRAVE! PLEASE DO SOMETIHNG QUICK!!!! EEK! EEK!!!!

I hope he gets it against the Pats, but I don't think Belichek is stupid enough to just kick it to him. There are sure to be many wrinkles in the kicking game for the Pats this Sunday.

BTW...... I hope it is downright miserable weather wise. I think I might get my wish.
