What looked like a daunting turnaround may have become less so for the Bears after the Dolphins --- who host Chicago on Thursday night --- lost quarterbacks Chad Henne and Chad Pennington to injuries
Or maybe not.
The wildcat offense and the efforts of third-stringer Tyler Thigpen helped the Dolphins hold on for an improbable 29-17 win over the Titans.
Pennington suffered a shoulder injury that could be career threatening. Henne was on crutches after the game after suffering a knee injury. Both injuries appeared serious, which means Thigpen, who led the Dolphins on a 85-yard touchdown drive to seal the win, will likely start against the Bears on Thursday night.

I am a little worried about this game with Miami. A let-down is all too possible, and Thigpen is no pushover even at third on the depth chart.Miami has been tough all year, and the Bear defense had better not take anything forgranted. Lack of preparationb time for a different kind of offense could hurt as well.I still think the Bears will win, but this game is likely to be closer and tougher than the Minnesota game.
The Dolphins couldn't have picked a better time to have their top 2 QBs injured, seeing how their next game is 1.) against the Bears and 2.) in only three days. Suddenly, the Bears winning chances just went up.
This may screw up the Bears more than the 'phins. On one hand Thigpen has been around 4 years and has started before. He isn't dog meat.
On the other hand the Bears have a short week to prepare and there is almost no film to study on the dude anyway. The good news, even for the cover 2 haters, is that the Bears basically do what they do on defense.
Jake Long dislocated his shoulder, Cameron Wake is having an MRI on his hip today. That's the best Tackle in the NFL and one of the best defenders in the nfl who will probably be out as well.
Christmas may come early in Miami. Right now they are beat up and the Bears are not.
If you guys want to worry about teams, worry about these guys Jets, Eagles, Pats(just beat up Pit), Packers at home. Now we all know the Bears will probably pull off a win against one of these teams, but most of us know they will probably lose to one of the 3 other teams Vikings at home trying to play spoiler, Detroit looking for revenge at home, Miami looks a little to beat up to be that effective at this point. Depends if Long and Wake play, not sure how long could play with that shoulder though.
No one can overlook those teams coming up, Creighton.I think the Jets and Eagles are beatable by the Bears. The Pats, Packers , and Vikings again are a bit tougher, especially the Pats, but Green Bay has to play the Pats and Vikings as well. I'm optimistic regarding the North Division, but am presently willing to take things one game at a time. Let's Root for the Bears to beat the Dolphins Thursday!
