I think Melton got fined too for tapping Aaron Rogers on the helmet while this lowlife speared him under the chinstrap! Open your eyes Goodell how unfair was that?

Zombo's reaction to the fine:

"I guess the only thing I can do is hit him lower," Zombo said Wednesday to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "They're trying to protect the quarterback, I understand that. It's just a hard situation to be in. I'm going to have to pay the fine, $7,500."

Well golly gee, I guess so Frank. Aside from hitting the QB lower, you may also want to avoid leading with the top of your helmet. On the bright side, Charles Martin would be proud of you.

Neil, I want to thank you for doing the Q&A feature on the sports page. Unfortunately though, most of the answers are cropped out due to the size of the pictures. Did you know this? All the Sun-Times needs do is add a scroll bar and you should be back in business. Thanks as well for answering this one confused fan's question:

Q: When the Bears had the Pack pinned down on the goal line during Sunday nights game, and the Pack had back-to-back penalties, why didn't the Bears just deny both penalties and put the Pack in third and long instead of taking the penalties and only sending the Pack back a few inches and giving them another chance to advance? GO BEARS!! Kevin Armstead

A: It's not a loss-of-down situation, if that's what you mean. You can either take the penalty and have it be first-and-10 plus an inch or you can decline the penalty and it would be first-and-10.

I think there's something to take away from this.

If you don't know a lick about football and yet you want to be an active participant on a Chicago Bears blog, habitually scream "GO BEARS!!!" at the end of your posts. Sooner or later though, you will be exposed.
